It's no joke...

Oh, Hey.... I have a blog, maybe I should write there again.

The past few weeks have been craaaaazy.

Spring fever with 1st graders is no joke. The problem isn't all the kids fault either. It took all I had to get up and go to work in the mornings. Each day I had a room full of little kiddies who wanted nothing to do with lessons and a lot more to do with running around, talking to each other, and playing...endless playing. Now that spring break has arrived, I can only imagine it's going to be a long haul until summer. This week of spring break is hopefully enough to give me the energy to continue the organized chaos until June!

My little blue car bit the dust, leaving me exactly one weekend to find a new car. After many sleazy car salesmen encounters and many test drives I found a new car. She was purchased while most of America was out drinking green beer on St. Patrick's Day. I love her- yes, it's totally a her. A champagne colored (could it be anymore fitting) "her".
Somehow, despite my love for her, the only picture I have is this one of the inner console. I believe this was snapped driving back from buying the car when my friend texted with "buy a new car?", my response was this picture. All I have to say is buying a car is also no joke. Stressful..

Aside from spending Easter with the family this weekend, I have no travel plans for the spring break I am on. Instead, I have ran a million errands that I do not have time to do during the week. Run by the bank, drop off dry cleaning, grocery shop, switch my closet from winter to spring/summer. I stand by the fact I would be a great stay at home wife. (I used to say stay at home mom, until my friends started having kids and having kids...is no joke) I fully realize that once you have a baby in tow, you no longer have time to do the previously mentioned errands so, I'm sticking to stay at home wife for right now.

This has nothing to do with anything but today I did score four pair of earrings from the Target clearance section. Target clearance section is no joke.

On that note, I'm out, but hopefully it will not be another month before I visit the blog again.

 Happy Easter!

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

I'm linking up with Neely over at A Complete Waste of Makeup for It's OK Thursday.

It's OK... that more often than not, I feel like most days are A Complete Waste of Makeup :) Neely is a hoot, check her out!

It's OK....that I have a mild obsession with what I call "gas station hot chocolate". It is hot chocolate that comes from those freakishly hot coffee machines at most Exxon gas stations. I don't drink coffee but during the winter months, I stop for "gas station hot chocolate" more than anyone should ever admit. I have considered buying a Keurig, only because some mornings it is just too cold to get out of the car for it.

It's OK...that I am really excited that Courtney survived the Rose Ceremony on the Bachelor this week. I must see where she comes from and who birthed a human like that.

It's OK...that I totally have a boyfriend, had flowers sent to work, and a lovely night out for Valentine's Day. However, I still wanted to vomit each and every time someone on my Facebook newsfeed posted pictures of their gifts, flowers, cards, etc. Enjoy them, display them, and thank your love for their efforts but good lord, stop bragging on Facebook. You can't all possibly have "THE BEST BOYFRIEND/HUSBAND IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!"

It's OK...that most nights, I am home from work, changed into yoga pants, have eaten dinner and am wanting to go to sleep, watching TV by 7:00pm at night.

It's OK...that I love my job but have been wishing for a "snow day" since November. It's just not happening...darn it.

It's OK...that I'll settle for a 3 day weekend instead of a snow day!

What's OK for you?

I Confess...

1. I'm going away for the weekend for a "semi" work trip. I'm dragging along the boyfried for my own down time. I confess, I couldn't be more excited.

2. I wore a scarf to school e.v.e.r.y day this week. I had a student call me out on it. I confess, I couldn't care less.

3. I have a habit of checking facebook during the day on my Blackberry. Sometimes, while it loads, I try to scroll down. This usually ends up in me "liking"someone's status by accident. That moment where I scroll back up to see what they said, hoping it wasn't bad news, someone dying, etc. SCARES ME TO DEATH.

4. (Grey's Anatomy Spoiler Alert)... The "still not engaged" story line in Grey's Anatomy last night hit  right at home. (This girl is at almost 4 years, no ring).I confess, if I had opened the necklace on year 8, I can't promise I wouldn't have reacted the exact same way. After the episode last night, I may never bring up the subject again. Well played... men writers on Grey's Anatomy...well played.

If you are going on years without a ring, watch it here, you won't either

The Stack

My confession:

My name is Ms. M and I have an accessory problem.

I have jewelry boxes, bags, and organizers dedicated to all of the rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces that I own.

I don't discriminate. I have real David Yurman, I have knock off Tiffany, I have every costume piece you can imagine in between the two. Because of my lack of one single way to store and display all of this jewelry, often times it goes unworn.  Sadface.

My problem is so bad, that I will probably be wearing yoga pants and a fleece on the weekends but I won’t leave home without wearing my pearls, watch, Yurman ring, etc.

My love of different jewelry comes and goes as quickly as each fad. However, the one look I just can’t get enough of- The Stack.

You tell me, what better way to display more than one bracelet at a time?

I always include a watch in my stack.

I even spend way too much time on Pintrest looking for my next big stack idea.

Current stacks I’m loving…

The “I totally would wear this” stack

The “high end” stack

The “I’m not trying, I just always wear these pieces” stack

The most important thing to remember about the stack:
As Bon Qui Qui would say: “You can do it your way, but don’t get crazy”

What is your ideal stack of choice?
